TOKYO, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo shares were mixed Friday morning on gains in U.S. technology shares overnight as well as renewed trade tensions.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average rose 32.62 points, or 0.14 percent, from Thursday to 22,545.15.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 4.63 points, or 0.26 percent, to 1,747.46.
Gainers were led by transportation equipment, miscellaneous product and retail issues while decliners were led by iron and steel, marine transportation and food issues.
