TOKYO, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo shares inched down Thursday morning amid renewed trade tensions.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average shed 91.79 points, or 0.40 percent, from Wednesday to 22,654.91.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 4.72 points, or 0.27 percent, at 1,765.04.
Decliners were led by nonferrous metal, oil and coal product, and mining issues.
