YORK, England, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- Ronnie O'Sullivan and Mark Allen will fight for the title of the UK Snooker Championship on Sunday after both winning their semifinal matches here on Saturday.
O'Sullivan, 43, eased past Tom Ford 6-1 to reach the final of the UK Championship for the eighth time, one match away from winning a record seventh title at this tournament.
Allen, from Northern Ireland, came back from 4-2 behind to beat former world champion Stuart Bingham 6-5 in a thrilling last four clash.
O'Sullivan has now won 26 out of 27 matches in this tournament over the past four years.
The two players will fight for the title over 19 frames, with the winner to earn 170,000 pounds.
"I'm pleased to be in the final," said O'Sullivan. "Tonight it will be two heavyweights going toe to toe and whoever I play tomorrow it will be a very tough match."
