YANGON, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar security forces have exposed a hide-out of ethnic insurgent group, the Arakan Army (AA), in Mrauk U, Rakhine state where donated food for some refugee camps were hidden, according to the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Services Friday.
The AA hide-out was exposed northeast of Mrauk U and the dried food and clothings were suspected of being collected by the AA from some camps of internally displaced persons (IDP).
The finding came after the AA insurgents attacked a police headquarters in Mrauk U on Tuesday, in which two police and one police family member were killed with seven other police members being missing.
In the clash, seven family members of the security forces including three children were also taken away by the AA.
Meanwhile, 23 AA insurgents, who fled to the nearby villages, were captured by the military column after the clash.
