YANGON, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar authorities have seized some stimulant tablets from a passenger at the Yangon International Airport, the official Global New Light of Myanmar reported Thursday.
The stimulant drugs were confiscated from the passenger who attempted to travel to Malaysia on Tuesday night.
A total of 13,200 stimulant tablets were found hidden in pairs of woman's foot-wears and batik sarongs in the male passenger's backpack after scanning X-ray at Terminal 1 of the airport at 11:30 p.m. local time.
Two more women were arrested in connection with the case of trying to transport the drugs to Malaysia.
The case is under investigation in accordance with the Anti-Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances Law.
