JAKARTA, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia has set a target of finishing fifth at the qualification tournament for the World Cricket Championships in Melbourne, Australia next year.
According to the Indonesian cricket authorities, the decision was made after a meeting of the Indonesian cricket association in Jakarta.
"This task is hard but I am certain it can be complied with," said Abhiram S. Yadav, the acting chairman of the meeting.
To reach the target, the chairman said the Indonesian team will hold several matches, including the Bali Six tournament in March and the International Cricket Championships in South Korea in August.
"Those international matches will be considered as a tryout matches and opportunities for evaluation before competing in qualification for the world championships in 2019," he said.
