YANGON, May 28 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar authorities seized narcotic drugs worth 1.95 billion kyats (1.3 million U.S. dollars) in western Rakhine state, the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) said on Tuesday.
The seizure was made on Sunday by the joint police force in Maungtaw town.
A total of 975,000 stimulant tablets were confiscated from a car being intercepted.
Two suspects were captured the next day and charged under the country's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
