NANNING, China, May 16 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia badminton team manager Susi Susanti is expecting her team to win the upcoming Sudirman Cup, slated for May 19 to 26 in Nanning, capital of southern China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
"We can win every match and it is time to bring the cup back to Indonesia. The last time we won the championship was 30 years ago in Jakarta," Susanti said.
Indonesia won the inaugural Sudirman Cup in Jakarta in May 1989, but have not won the tournament since.
Despite her confidence in her players, Susanti admitted other teams would also be very strong. "We have to play well in each match and win the Sudirman Cup step-by-step."
Indonesia open their Sudirman Cup campaign against England on May 19.
