BEIJING, May 3 (Xinhua) -- Traffic peak will occur between the noon and 10:00 p.m. Saturday, the end of the 4-day May Day holiday, as travelers returning home by car, the Ministry of Public Security announced Friday.
Traffic flow will surge on major expressways, especially those near big cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, according to the ministry.
It also warned that the road safety might be threatened by forecasted strong wind in northeastern and northern China and rain in southern China.
The ministry advised drivers to closely follow road and weather conditions, plan their routes in advance, and abide by traffic regulations. Enditem
