MOSCOW, April 30 (Xinhua) -- Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) said on Tuesday that its officers shut down a large drug lab in the Moscow Region in an operation.
A Moscow resident ran the lab to produce especially large batches of synthetic drugs and sell them through illegal online stores, the FSB said in a statement.
The FSB officers detained the perpetrator red-handed in a private house and seized over 164 kg of liquid containing more than 28 kg of synthetic drugs, laboratory equipment and utensils, and chemical reagents.
The investigative department of the FSB has initiated a criminal case against the detainee.
