YANGON, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar authorities have exposed four drug trafficking cases in three towns of Kachin and Shan states, a police information department said on Monday.
In connection with a case in Myitgyina, the capital of Kachin state, local anti-drug authorities seized 51 grams of heroin and 1,463 psychotropic tablets when they searched a house of two people on Saturday.
On the same day, the authorities also confiscated 30,000 psychotropic tablets from a woman onboard a vehicle which was intercepted on the Muse-Mandalay highway in Nawnhgkio town, Shan state.
Similarly on the same day, the authorities seized 390 psychotropic tablets from a man in Pekhon town, Shan state when they searched his house as well as 4,000 psychotropic tablets from a woman in the town's Konesone village-tract.
The authorities have filed against the perpetrators under Myanmar's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
