KATHMANDU, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- Nepal urged India and Pakistan on Wednesday to ease their escalating tensions and normalize the situation through dialogue and peaceful means.
The call was made amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan following a recent suicide attack on a security convoy in Indian-controlled Kashmir
Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the government is concerned about escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.
"As the current Chair of SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation), Nepal, while underlining the importance of peace and stability in South Asia, calls on both sides to exercise utmost restraint and not engage in actions that would threaten peace and security in the region," said the statement.
