YANGON, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- Seven people were killed with six others injured in a car accident in Myanmar's Ayeyarwady region, said a release from the Home Affairs Ministry Tuesday.
With a total of 13 people aboard, a truck carrying 2,500 bamboo poles overturned due to brake failure near Thit Sin village in Thabaung town on Sunday.
The accident left seven deaths on the spot including three women, and six injured as they were buried by the bamboo poles, the ministry said.
The injured were brought to the Thabaung General Hospital for treatment.
The truck driver was charged with negligence by the township police.
