SHIBERGHAN, Afghanistan, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- Seven people lost their lives in a accident on a road linking the northern Jawzjan province with the neighboring Balkh on Monday, Farid Aneq, the spokesman for Jawzjan's governor, said.
"The victims including two men, three women and two children were going from Jawzjan provincial capital Shiberghan by a car to Balkh provincial capital Mazar-e-Sharif when their car collided with an oil tanker coming from opposite direction," Aneq told Xinhua.
Blaming reckless driving for the deadly accident, the official said that an investigation has been initiated to the case.
However, he didn't say if the driver of the oil tanker had been arrested.
