ULAN BATOR, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) -- The Mongolian government on Wednesday adopted a national program to ensure the supply of healthy and safe food products to the population, according to an official announcement.
As part of the government's goal of becoming a food-exporting country, the national program "Healthy Food, Healthy Mongolia" aims to provide healthy, safe food to its population by promoting domestic agricultural and livestock production, according to the government's press office.
It is estimated that a total of 148 billion Mongolian tugriks (56.3 million U.S. dollars) will be spent on implementing this program in 2019-2023.
