YANGON, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar authorities have seized 600 kg ICE, also known as methamphetamine, in Kunhing, Myanmar's northeastern Shan state, Myanmar News Agency reported Thursday.
The seizure was made by local anti-drug agencies from a car at Tar Kaw Bridge checkpoint on Tuesday and the drugs are estimated at 15 billion kyats (10 million U.S. dollars).
The anti-drug police also confiscated 23,400 psychotropic tablets from a motorcycle along the Laukkai-Chin Shwe Haw road in Laukkai, Kokang region on the day.
Local police have filed cases against the two people under the country's Anti-Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
