NEW DELHI, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- A fire broke out at India's space research organization (ISRO) center Friday in western state of Gujarat, officials said.
There were no reports of casualty in the fire.
The fire broke out at a store-room in the center in Ahmedabad, about 25 km south of Gandhinagar.
"A fire broke out inside ISRO here," a fire department official in Ahmedabad said. "No casualty has taken place and firefighting operation is underway."
According to officials five fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire.
The cause of fire was not immediately known.
In May this year, a major fire broke out at the center's machinery department.
Chances of fire in Indian buildings are often high as people usually ignore safety standards.
