KUNDUZ, Afghanistan, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- At least 13 militants, affiliated with Taliban, have been killed and seven others wounded in a government force' operation in Afghanistan's northern Kunduz province over the past 24 hours, said a statement of the 20th Pamir Military Corps released here on Wednesday.
The operation, according to the official, was launched in Qarluq strategic area of restive Dasht-e-Archi district of the province on Tuesday, said the statement.
Aimed at the elimination of key Taliban commanders and their hideouts, the crackdown will continue until the complete clearance of the district from insurgents, the statement said.
Taliban has not commented on the incident.
