LONDON, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- Neymar has moved to reassure fans that an injury suffered during Brazil's 1-0 friendly victory over Cameroon on Tuesday is not serious.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward limped off early in the match at Stadium MK in Milton Keynes, around 80km northwest of London, with what appeared to be an adductor muscle injury.
"It was nothing serious," Neymar wrote on Instagram. "Thanks to everyone who sent me messages of support and wished me a speedy recovery. I think I'll be okay."
Brazil team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar also played down fears of a lengthy injury layoff for the 26-year-old. "He felt discomfort. He will need a bit more time to evaluate it and take a scan, but in principle it is not a serious injury," he said.
Everton forward Richarlison, who replaced Neymar in the eighth minute, proved to be the match-winner, heading in his third goal from six Brazil matches just before halftime.
