JAKARTA, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- Coach of the Indonesian national soccer team Bima Sakti said that he was optimistic that his team will be able to beat Singapore in their AFF Group B match on Friday evening in the city state.
Coach Sakti said that his team would apply an offensive push which will persistently pressure the opponent during the match that will take place in the National Stadium of Singapore.
"We will strive to play as if it takes place in our home country, applying an offensive play, playing well and continuously giving pressure to the opponents," he said in a statement.
Strikes will be launched through both sides of the field, since Indonesian team has players who can move fast, the coach said.
"We have any good wing players having high speed. But all players are imperative for the team," said Sakti.
However, the coach did not underestimate his opponents, saying that the Singaporean team had developed into a strong team in recent years.
"We must focus. It has good back players and strikers whose transitions are good," said Sakti.
