DUBAI, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) national meteorology center said on Saturday that a tropical cyclone formation in the southeast of the Arabian Sea poses "no direct influence on the UAE," state news agency WAM reported.
The tropical cyclone, accompanied by rainy convective clouds, is moving "northwest from the middle of the Arabian Sea toward the Oman coast" with wind speeds between 30 and 50 km per hour, the National Center of Meteorology said in an statement.
It "is expected to develop into a tropical storm over the Arabian Sea during the next 48 hours," the statement added.
