QUITO, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Ecuador will play Qatar and Oman in international friendlies in Doha next month, the South American country's football federation (FEF) said on Wednesday.
The Tricolor will meet Qatar at the Jassim Bin Hamad stadium on Oct. 12 and Oman at the Abdullah Bin Khalifa stadium four days later.
Ecuador, who failed to qualify for this year's World Cup in Russia, beat Jamaica and Guatemala - both with 2-0 scorelines - in friendlies earlier this month.
The matches were the team's first since Colombian Hernan Dario Gomez was appointed Ecuador coach for a second time in August after parting ways with Panama.
The 62-year-old guided Ecuador to their first ever World Cup finals in 2002 during his first spell in charge.
