RABAT, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca advanced to the African Confederation Cup semifinals, after beating CARA of Congo Brazzaville 3-1 on aggregate on Sunday.
Having triumphed 2-1 away to CARA, three-time African champions Raja had an easy task to do at the Mohammed V stadium in Casablanca with over 40,000 fans.
Striker Mohcine Iajour made the task much easier, scoring the sole goal of the game through a header as early as the 4th minute.
In the rest of the game, the Moroccan team enjoyed the possession but squandered several clear chances.
This the first semifinal for Raja Casablanca since 2005 in CAF Champions League.
In the semifinals, Raja will face Nigeria's Enyimba, who trashed Rayon Sports of Rwanda 5-1 on aggregate. Enditem
