TEHRAN, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- Iran and Pakistan traded 1.27 million tons of non-oil commodities worth 642.63 million U.S. dollars from March 21 to Aug. 22, Eghtesad online news website reported on Monday.
The figures display a 23.31 percent growth in weight and 19.72 percent rise in value compared with last year's corresponding period.
Pakistan was Iran's eighth major export destination during the period. Iran mainly exported tar, liquefied propane and vegetables to Pakistan during the five-month period.
The imports from Pakistan mainly included rice, pear and sesame. Pakistan and India are the biggest exporters of rice to Iran.
