RABAT, July 28 (Xinhua) -- Morocco's Difaa El Jadida drew 1-1 with Algerian side Entente Setif on Friday in the African Champions League, further complicating their situation in Group B.
At El Abdi Stadium in the coastal city of El Jadida, the hosts took an early lead thanks to a header from Tanzanian player Simon Msuva at the 23rd minute.
The Algerians quickly returned with a penalty kick converted by striker Habib Bouguelmouna at the 33rd minute.
The two teams lost several clear chances to win the game and keep their hopes alive of a last-eight slot.
After this draw, the Moroccan team remains at the last spot with only two points from four games, while Entente Setif joined their fellow Algerians Mouloudia with four points. Congolese side TP Mazembe tops the group with nine points.
In the other match of Group B, Mouloudia will face Mazembe in Algiers to boost their chances of moving to the knockout stage.
