BELGRADE, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Serbia's Partizan edged Lithuania's Trakai 1-0 in the first leg of the second qualification round for the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.
Runners-up of the Serbian Superliga started the match aggressively against the Lithuania's 3rd ranked team but failing to get closer to the goal of their opponents.
The winning goal was an own goal in the 57th minute when the ball hit the chest of Justinas Janusevskis, goalkeeper of Trakai after a corner kick deflected from his teammate.
Then Partizan created several chances - in the 60th minute when Nebojsa Kosovic passed the ball to Seydouba Soumah who missed the goal, in the 62nd minute when Ricardo Jorge Pires Gomes passed to Ivanovic who did not make use of it, and in the 63rd minute when Ricardo struck the post with a header.
The two teams will meet again in Trakai, Lithuania, while the tie winner will in the third round meet the better team in the duel between Danish Nordsjaelland and Swedish AIK. Enditem
