SHIBERGHAN, Afghanistan, July 21 (Xinhua) -- At least 15 Taliban militants and two Islamic States (IS) fighters have been killed in clashes between the rival groups in the northern Jawzjan province, a local government official said Saturday.
"The clashes (that) erupted between Taliban and IS fighters in Darzab district on Friday morning have so far left 15 dead from Taliban and two from IS group," Mohammad Reza Ghafori, spokesman for provincial governor, told Xinhua.
Seven more militants, including four from Taliban outfit, have been injured in the ongoing fighting, the spokesman said.
Neither Taliban nor the IS group has made comment on the clashes.
