BRUSSELS, July 11 (Xinhua) -- The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) members are determined to step up its role in the fight against terrorism, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told reporters following a summit meeting with country leaders.
"We are determined to preserve our gains in the fight against ISIS and prevent them from coming back. So today, we launched a new training mission in Iraq, we decided to increase our support for our partners," said Stoltenberg.
According to a declaration issued Wednesday, NATO country leaders decided to increase assistance to the Afghan Security Forces, providing more trainers and extending financial support.
NATO members also decided to set up a new counter-hybrid support teams and to draw on national cyber capabilities to address hybrid threats.
