BEIJING, June 3 (Xinhua) -- The first Qinzhou Nixing Pottery Art Festival will be held alongside a ceramics expo in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on June 8.
The festival will run until June 20 in Qinzhou and include more than 30 events related to the traditional local Nixing pottery, which has a history of over 1,300 years, according to a news conference on Sunday.
The firing technique of Nixing pottery was put on the list of China's national intangible cultural heritage in 2008, and was listed as one of the first batch of traditional crafts to be revitalized this year.
The ceramics expo will display ceramic art works from different countries including Italy, Malaysia, Vietnam and the United Kingdom.?
