CAMBRIDGE, Britain, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Incubyte, Cambridge Accelerate and the Cambridge Innovation Park Tuesday announced the launch of the Cambridge Innovation Park China Center (CIPCC), which encourages and facilitates two-way investment and the international expansion of local as well as British and Chinese companies.

The collaboration signifies the start of what CIPCC hopes will be a long and fruitful partnership between Cambridge and China and will lead the way in global investment partnerships as Britain prepares to exit the European Union.

Cambridge Mayor George Pippas, who attended the ceremony, told Xinhua that Cambridge welcomes investment from China because Chinese are very hardworking and good at doing businesses while Cambridge has advanced technology.

"Joining the forces together, we can become mega successful, mega mega successful," he said.

Pippas said the launch of the China Center will attract investment and strengthen cooperation between Cambridge and Chinese cities.

Incubyte founder and CEO Rob Precious said, "This is a fantastic opportunity for Incubyte to forge stronger relations with our Chinese partners... As the UK moves into a new era, Incubyte is delighted to be taking the lead with forward-thinking global partnerships."

Founder and CEO of Cambridge Accelerate Jenny Wong said, "We're thrilled to be joining forces with Incubyte to help develop some of the fantastic technology being developed in both the UK and China. There's never been a better time for our two nations to be collaborating more closely."

Cambridge Accelerate is China's leading start-up accelerator and offers spaces within prime locations in cities across China to promote cooperation between Chinese and British technology companies.
