ATHENS, May 21 (Xinhua) -- The diva of the contemporary French song Lara Fabian made a stop in Athens this weekend as part of her Camouflage World Tour 2018.

Tens of thousands of fans showed up to enjoy her two performances on May 19-20 at the Faliro TaeKwonDo Olympic Arena.

"A big thank you to all of you who, despite the bad weather you were here for the second night in a row, thank you from the bottom of my heart," she told the crowd, opening the concert.

At one of the show's best moments she performed her hit song "Je suis malade", as the audience moved rhythmically and sang along.

"We love her, that's why we are here tonight. Lara Fabian has the most amazing voice I have ever heard. I am fortunate to see her live," Sophia Lygizou, a 35 years old fan, told Xinhua.

After selling more than 20 million albums worldwide, Fabian released last year her 13th studio album, "Camouflage", consisting of 12 songs, written and composed by Fabian together with Sharon Vaughn (United States) and Moh Denebi (Sweden).

Her world tour which bears the same name started on Feb. 2 in Miami, Florida, and spans 40 dates worldwide, culminating in a Paris show in June.

A singer with millions of fans and many big hits from the 80s to the present, Lara Fabian was born in Belgium by a Flemish father and Sicilian mother.

She can sing in seven languages: French, English, Spanish, Italian, Flemish, German and Russian.
