KUALA LUMPUR, May 10 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia's Industrial Production Index (IPI) rose 3.1 percent year-on-year in March, driven by manufacturing and electricity sectors, government data showed Thursday.
The country's statistics department said in a statement Thursday, the increase was supported by the growth in manufacturing index and electricity index, which grew 4.1 percent and 4.4 percent respectively.
Meanwhile, the mining index recorded zero growth.
