BEIJING, April 6 (Xinhua) -- Brazilian striker Alex Teixeira Santos and U23 player Huang Zichang each scored a goal to help Jiangsu Suning beat Guangzhou R&F 2-0 in an away game in the fifth round of the Chinese Super League on Friday night.
Neither side was able to break the deadlock in the first half, as Eran Zahavi and Junior Urso's long shots went wide for Guangzhou, while Richmond Boakye's attempt in the penalty area was blocked by Guangzhou's goalkeeper Cheng Yuelei.
In the 48th minute, Huang Zichang got the rebound from Teixeira's header, scoring the opening goal for the away team. The promising U23 player created a penalty kick opportunity for Jiangsu in the 57th minute, from which Teixeira made the score 2-0.
In another fifth-round game held on the same day, Beijing Guoan tied 1-1 with their rival Tianjin Teda. Spanish striker Jonathan Soriano broke the deadlock for Beijing Guoan in the 10th minute, while Ghanaian forward Frank Acheampong equalized for Tianjin Teda in the 28th minute. Enditem
