DUBAI, March 31 (Xinhua) -- The 5-year-old U.S. thoroughbred Mind Your Biscuits crossed the finishing line with a track record of one minute and 10.12 seconds, leaving seven rivals behind on the 1,200 meter Golden Shaheen dirt track.
Mind Your Biscuits was ridden by jockey Joel Rosario who performed a neck-on-neck, nail-biting final meter sprint with his peers. American rivals X Y Jet and Roy H were second and third.
U. S. thoroughbred Wild Dude, ridden by jockey Silvestre de Soussa and owned by Chinese businessman Yu Long and Team Cheval was fourth.
The Golden Shaheen race, sponsored by United Arab Emirates daily Gulf News, marked the 6th race of the 23rd edition of the Dubai World Cup, with 30 million dollars of cash prizes over nine horse races.
