BEIJING, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck the waters off Yilan County of Taiwan at 2:28 a.m. Monday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 24.43 degrees north latitude and 121.97 degrees east longitude. The earthquake struck at a depth of 17 kilometers, the CENC said.
