ISLAMABAD, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- At least 19 suspected militants were arrested during two separate search operations in Pakistan on Friday, local reports said.
Police and paramilitary troops have arrested nine suspects and recovered arms and ammunition from their custody during a search operation in the country's southern port city of Karachi, Samaa News said.
In another operation, in the Sargodha district of the country's east Punjab province, police arrested 10 suspects and recovered arms and narcotics from their custody.
A spokesman for the district police said that police carried out intelligence based operations in over 30 houses and arrested 10 suspects.
During the operation, some 15,210 grams of hashish and weapons were recovered from their hideouts.
The suspects were shifted to some unknown location for investigations.
