SKOPJE, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- Macedonia will soon see the implementation of eight new investments worth over 73.5 million euros and more than 1,500 new jobs, Macedonia's Vice Premier for Economic Affairs Koco Angjusev told a news conference Thursday.
He informed that the new investments will be carried out in the technological-industrial development zones.
"We still have not launched the Economic Growth program, but eight agreements are already signed, while 30 more foreign investments are expected in the coming period," Angjusev told reporters.
He added that the government would spend zero funds on these investments, compared to the 23 investments and 225 million euros spent in the past seven years.
Angjusev also said that six foreign companies already investing in Macedonia had announced they would double their capacities after recognizing the opportunities offered by the Economic Growth Program unveiled by government Skopje a few months ago.
