TIRANA, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- The incumbent President of Albanian Football Association Armand Duka won Wednesday the elections where he ran for a fifth mandate.
After two rounds of election, Duka garnered two third of votes, winning against the other candidate Bashkim Fino who is a lawmaker of the ruling Socialist Party and former Albania's prime minister.
None of the candidates could secure two third of the votes in the first round.
Duka received 39 votes, Fino received 22 votes, while 4 votes were declared invalid.
"I am happy and excited not because of the fact that I will be the president, but because of the reliability and I feel deeply obliged that something more difficult awaits me starting today," Duka said after the announcement of his victory.
Fino described the process as irregular and warned he would take legal action. Enditem
