NEW DELHI, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- A massive fire broke out at a mattress godown in the Indian capital on Thursday, officials said.
There have been no reports of any casualties in the incident so far.
"The fire broke out at the mattress godown in Mundka area. Some 30 fire tenders have been pressed into service to douse the flames," a fire department official said.
The fire officials are also trying to get into the godown to rescue anyone trapped inside. "Hopefully, all workers at the godown have managed to escape," he said.
The incident came barely a week after 17 people were charred to death in a fire at an illegal firecracker factory in Delhi.
Police arrested the factory owner for carrying out business without any approval from the local civic body and initiated a major probe.
