BANGKOK, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- Two Israeli men were arrested at a Bangkok airport on Monday on charges of killing a fellow countryman on Koh Samui island, police said.
The two unidentified Israelis who had intended to depart Thailand after allegedly perpetrating the crime were rounded up at Don Muang airport by the Immigration Police.
On Friday night, the suspects allegedly murdered the Israeli male, identified as Maor Malil, 34, and seriously injured an Israeli female, identified as Rachael Osana, 31, on Koh Samui island in southern Thailand.
The Israeli suspects, believed to have intimidated and extorted money from fellow countrymen on the tourist island resort, rammed the victims' motorcycle with their running truck on the road.
One of the suspected killers stabbed the Israeli tourist several times in the chest as he was lying alongside his girlfriend on the road. The male was pronounced dead at the hospital and the female was seriously wounded.
The killing suspects will be shortly brought back to Koh Samui island for re-enactment of the alleged crime.
