NEW YORK, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale jolted 110km WNW of Madang, Papua New Guinea at 21:54:36 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 65.18 km, was initially determined to be at 4.7989 degrees south latitude and 144.8987 degrees east longitude.
