AMMAN, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) -- Jordan on Wednesday condemned a suicide attack on a mosque in Nigeria's northeastern town of Gamboru that resulted in the death of 10 people, the state-run Petra news agency reported.

Jordan's Minister of State for Media Affairs Mohammad Momani said the repeated targeting of worship places and civilians by the terrorist groups indicate their dark ideologies.

It also necessitates increased coordination and cooperation to uproot terrorism, he said, voicing solidarity with Nigeria.

A teenage male suicide bomber sneaked into the local mosque and detonated an improvised explosive device strapped to his body during an early morning prayer Wednesday.

Altogether 10 people, including the attacker's biological father, have been confirmed killed in the attack.
