RABAT, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) -- Morocco's state-owned phosphate company OCP and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) have signed a long-term agreement in granulated sulphur supply, local media reported on Friday.

Under the agreement, ADNOC, the world's largest exporter of sulphur, will provide OCP, the largest worldwide sulphur importer, with the product until 2025, the Moroccan Le360.ma news site said.

The two countries agreed to consider a gradual increase of the contracted annual volumes, the same source added.

ADNOC exported more than 2 million metric tons of granulated sulphur to Morocco in 2016, it noted.

Since 2008, OCP has launched an ambitious investment program in the fertilizer industry with the objective of doubling its mining capacity and tripling its fertilizer capacity.
