YANGON, July 25 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar and Laos have vowed to promote bilateral relations and multi-faceted cooperation, Myanmar News Agency reported Wednesday.
The pledged was made between Myanmar Minister of international Cooperation U Kyaw Tin and Lao Foreign Minister Saleumxay Kommasith in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.
Their talks covered cooperation in the implementation of bilateral agreements signed between the two countries during Lao Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith's official visit to Myanmar in January.
The bilateral agreements include those on electric power cooperation, Myanmar-Laos friendship bridge, and promotion of trade and investment and tourism.
The two also exchanged views on regional and international matters of mutual interest.
On the same day, Myanmar State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi also met with Kommasith who concluded his two-day Myanmar visit on late Tuesday.
