ISLAMABAD, July 3 (Xinhua) -- At least three security personnel were killed and five others injured in a landmine blast in Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province on Tuesday, local media reported.
According to reports, a security vehicle was struck by a landmine planted at the roadside by unknown militants when it was on a routine patrol in the Nokhani area of Dera Bugti, a district in Balochistan province.
According to security officials, the vehicle was completely destroyed in the explosion.
Following the incident, rescue teams and security forces rushed to the site and shifted the bodies and injured personnel to the Civil Hospital Dera Bugti for treatment.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation in the surroundings to arrest the miscreants.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
