WARSAW, June 13 (Xinhua) -- One person died and 27 others were injured in a truck and train collision near Daleszewo, northwestern Poland on Wednesday afternoon.
The truck carrying timber collided with Szczecin-Zielona Gora connection train at about 1 p.m. local time, and the injured were taken to hospitals, according to the local police.
Polish broadcaster TVN said among the 27 injured, one person suffered severe injuries. The Szczecin-Kostrzyn trail route is impassable due to damaged traction network and supporting pillars.
The major cause of the collision is to be determined. Polish State Railways is working on substitute bus communication network.
