TUNIS, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy Brey arrived in Tunisia Monday for a one-day official visit, with the aim of exploring investment opportunities.
Brey was welcomed, at the Presidential Airport in the northern suburbs of Tunis, by his Tunisian counterpart Youssef Chahed accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Khemais Jhinaoui.
The Spanish prime minister is leading a high-level delegation consisted largely of businessmen who want to explore the investment potentials in several areas in Tunisia.
An official source from Tunisian government told Xinhua that Brey will hold talks with Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi and the President of the Assembly of People's Representatives (Parliament) Mohamed Ennaceur, besides a working session with Chahed after which some bilateral conventions would be signed.
Brey will also co-chair with Chahed the eighth session of Tunisian-Spanish high-level joint meetings and the Tunisian-Spanish Businessmen's Forum.
